Nurture You Legacy

Over the past three decades, we've battled our way to acquiring a dedicated mosque for our Muslim Brisbanites and visitors.
We struggled through countless trials before finally achieving something extraordinary -- something you now proudly own.

However, we still need your help.

After a year of raising funds to acquire the facility, we still need to pay off a large debt for the acquisition as well as raise funds to undertake much needed renovations to bring make the vision a reality.

The City Mosque Journey

2009 - 2010

A group of visionaries teamed up to form a non-profit committee dedicated to finding a solution. In 2010, they made an arrangement with an Indonesian Church for Friday prayer, catering to 300 worshipers over two sessions.

2016

An unfortunate turn of events took place for the Brisbane muslim community. The Indonesian church decided to sell their establishment, leaving 450 muslims stranded with no place for Friday prayers.

2020

A permanent facility was finally secured, Brisbane Community Education Center (BCEC), Easing the hardship of 450 + Muslims to find their permanent city Mosque.

Future

We aim to renovate the premises into an A-Grade facility that the Brisbane community can be proud of and establish for generations to come.

1990 - 2009

Over 15,000 Muslims living in Brisbane City and surrounding areas drift anywhere from the botanical park and QUT Garden Point campus to office spaces and city nook and crannies to perform Jummah. Muslim tourists face the same dilemma too.

2013

A second venue was established underneath a kebab shop in the city. This Musallah provided a small space for daily salaah and some additional capacity for Friday prayers.

2017

After months of searching, our Muslim community found temporary respite at Metro Arts Queensland where we were granted access to hold Friday prayers for worshipers for two years. During this time, the committee decided to search for a permanent solution.

Present Day

With your generous contributions we have been able to secure the facility, however there is a large debt to pay off and need more support.
